On Friday, 26 June 2015, the Hong Kong Jewellers’ & Goldsmiths’ Association held its Annual General Meeting and celebrated its 62nd anniversary as a registered limited company at second floor of Fulum Palace, 438 King’s Road, North Point, Hong Kong.
More than three hundred guests and members participated in the event. The ceremony was simple but grand. The Chairman reviewed the work and achievements of the Association in the past year:
- Since its launch in early 2007, the “ Natural Fei Cui Quality Mark” Scheme jointly organized by The Hong Kong Jewellers’ & Goldsmiths Association and The Kowloon Pearls, Precious Stones, Jade, Gold and Silver Ornament Merchants Association has accredited around 280 merchants, comparing to only 151 at the beginning. To further publicize the scheme, promotion has been implemented on TVB ,bus advertisements and MTR since November of last year, promoting that shops with the “ Natural Fei Cui Quality Mark” sell only the natural jade.
- The Association continued its efforts to act as an issuing body of the “ No Fakes Pledge” coordinated by the Intellectual Property Department.
- The Association will continue to organize the “Chuk Kam Jewellery Design Competition 2016” which sponsored by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and World Gold Council.
- The promotion campaign for the “ Quality Gold Mark 2015” was launched through the TVB ,bus advertising and MTR earlier this year.
